Ingate Signs Distribution and Marketing Agreement With ABP International, Inc.

Swedish Ingate Systems, the leading supplier of SIP-capable enterprise firewalls, will market its products into Latin America through ABP International, Inc.

Dallas, November 12, 2002 Ingate, the developer of the world’s first broadband firewall to allow SIP-based IP telephony, presence, instant messaging and conferencing globally over the Internet, announced today the signing of a key marketing agreement for its innovative line of Firewalls. The product line will be marketed by ABP International, Inc. which provides market development and distribution coverage throughout Latin America.

ABP International, Inc. will provide marketing, logistics and technical support for Ingate products throughout Latin America from its Dallas, Texas headquarters. ABP is highly focused on the emerging Voice over the Internet (VoIP) market and is actively promoting and installing a significant number of VoIP solutions through ABP VAR partners located throughout Latin America.

Ingate has successfully delivered firewalls to the Scandinavian market since 1997 and launched the first SIP-capable firewall earlier this year, bringing global SIP-based person-to-person IP communication to users on enterprise networks. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the standardized Internet protocol for IP telephony, presence, instant messaging and audio/video conferencing. However, its rapid establishment and expansion has been limited by SIP not traversing current firewalls. The Ingate Firewall® is a long awaited remedy for this restriction, allowing SIP-based communications on secure private LANs globally over the Internet for the first time. The Ingate product range enables enterprises to enjoy the benefits of SIP-based global communications from a secure private LAN.
