Ingate Wins Pulver 100 Award
Named Pioneering New Growth Company in Communications Sector
Stockholm, October 6, 2003 -
Ingate Systems (www.ingate.com), the leading supplier of SIP-capable
enterprise firewalls, won the prestigious Pulver 100 Award, an honor
reserved for the top 100 pioneering new growth companies in the
communications arena. The award was announced at the Fall VON trade
show in Boston, Mass.
The Pulver 100 Award is bestowed by pulver.com,
which produces the VON conferences and is actively engaged in
promoting the growth of communications technology.
The Pulver 100 list, first introduced in September 2002, includes
private companies in the communications sector that have substantial
real-world deployments and enjoy significant growth rates. The list
seeks to include companies that represent the future of the
communications ecosystem. The value chain characterized by listed
companies differs substantially from the vertically integrated telecom
model of the last century. The companies prospering in the new
environment have followed the computer and networking industry model
with open interfaces, connectivity decoupled from services, and
software decoupled from hardware. They have little or no dependence
on the traditional telephone network, equipment or service providers.
"It is an honor to be named a Pulver 100 company. This is the
second time we have enjoyed this privilege," said Olle Westerberg, Chief
Executive Officer, Ingate Systems. "Ingate is leading the industry
in developing SIP-enabling technologies that bring applications such
as VoIP, IM, presence and video to businesses of any size, on any
budget. We have broken the barriers that have kept businesses from
using SIP-based applications with products that bring SIP to every
enterprise quickly, easily and in such a way that preserves past IT
investments."
