Ingate Remote SIP Connectivity for Ingate SIParator® 45
Named Product of the Year
Company Honored Once Again by Internet Telephony® Magazine
HOLLIS, NH -- Jan 2, 2006-
Ingate® Systems (www.ingate.com),which develops firewall technology and products that enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise while maintaining control and security at the network edge, has earned the prestigious 2005 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®)'s Internet Telephony® magazine (www.itmag.com).
Ingate won the 2005 Award for its Remote SIP Connectivity software module for the Ingate SIParator® 45. This is the fourth consecutive year that Ingate SIParators have been honored with the Award.
Ingate Remote SIP Connectivity is a far-end NAT traversal solution that enables remote users to leverage the benefits of SIP communications already integrated into the company's network. SIP communications -- including VoIP -- do not reach users behind firewalls and Network Address Translation (NAT) devices automatically. Remote SIP Connectivity allows users behind many remote (non SIP-aware) NATs and residential firewalls to communicate via SIP without the need for adding additional hardware or software at the remote site, simply by installing the Ingate SIParator at the enterprise data center.
Ingate's SIParator 45 connects to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable the traversal of SIP communications. Like all Ingate hardware, the SIParator 45 solves the NAT traversal issues inherent in SIP communications. Incorporated in the SIParator is Ingate.s full SIP proxy, which delivers maximum control over SIP signaling, traffic and network security.
The SIParator 45 is an ideal complement to an IP PBX system as it supports advanced IP PBX functions such as call transfer, call hold and voicemail. It also boasts full support and compatibility for Microsoft Office Live Communications Server (LCS), allowing voice, video, IM and presence applications to work outside the LAN.
"At a reasonable price point, Remote SIP Connectivity for the SIParator 45 delivers true global connectivity with the very best in next-generation communications technology," said Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems. "In addition, the Ingate SIParator 45+ is a companion product with the same form factor and support for more concurrent SIP sessions. Together, Ingate's Remote SIP Connectivity and the SIParator 45 or the 45+ offer a flexible solution for today's growing businesses."
"Each year Internet Telephony magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Ingate Systems has demonstrated to the editors of Internet Telephony that its products are committed to quality and innovation while addressing the real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Internet Telephony.
Ingate SIParators are available in a range of sizes to meet the needs of any business. The SIParator 18 supports up to 30 simultaneous calls, while the SIParator 88 --the largest in the SIParator line --. supports up to 800.
The Product of the Year Award winners for 2005 will be published in the February 2006 issue of Internet Telephony magazine.
